What is this?

A 3-hour flower workshop 1:1 or group of up to 10 participants.

Where is this?

It will be hosted on site at TwigsTwisted Botanical Garden, Langley, BC.

How does it work?

For the first hour, students will follow TwigsTwisted founder – Joanne – and walk around the 1.3 acres botanical garden to learn about flowers knowledge and farming techniques. Students will also get to handpicked and cut their own flowers for the second hour.

For the second hour, Joanne will teach you everything you need to know about flower arrangement including an introduction to colour theory. At the end of this session, you will walk away with knowledge on how to do flower arrangement for events such as weddings, engagement, and etc.. You’ll also get a chance to ask Joanne any flower farming and floral industry-related questions. Joanne will also recommend additional instructors.

A professional photographer, Emma Tuis (IG @tsuibergsveryown) will provide a photoshoot with you and your newly-assembled flower arrangement in the beautiful garden of TwigsTwisted. You’ll receive 15-20 professionally edited, high quality, digital photos for all the hard work you put into in the last 2 hours. Not only will you get to show off what you’ve done, these photos will go along well in your portfolio too! Furthermorel, it’s nice to capture the event for memory to hold on to years to come.

Refreshment including tea/coffee and something sweet and nibble will be provided during your visit. Vases are also including for your design.

A botanical tea party (tea/coffee) Vases, water/tea, and cookies will be provided on site. Due to covid-19 restriction, we are only letting <10 people on site at all time, and everyone is required to wear a face mask during the entire session.

Who are the instructor, florist, & photographer?

The instructor is our one and only TwigsTwisted founder – Joanne. With over 30 years of experiences in growing botanical flowers and foliage. She is one of the best local you’ll ever get a chance to learn from. A retired educator whom love to share her passion for growing and designing local seasonal flowers in a sustainable way. No foam or chemicals will be used here at TwigsTwisted.
